Our approach to nutrition is scientific and is based and backed by studies. The nutrition plan is tailored to each individual and is based on their unique stats and goals. We ask our clients to track everything they ingest. This helps us make specific adjustments without having to drastically add or subtract food intake.
What are macros?
Macronutrients (macros) are the proteins, carbs, and fats that make up your diet.
Why is it important to count your macros?
The day of recycled "custom meal plans" are dead. The body doesn't understand “guesstimating”. The body understands specific scientific protocols and that's where macros come in. They determine exactly how many calories you need to either maintain, gain, or lose weight. What does that mean? You'll be eating the largest amount of food possible while still losing weight. Another important factor is counting your fiber intake as well. In order to keep your body functioning optimally adequate fiber consumption is important. Your vegetables will be the bulk of your fiber source. They contain the dense micronutrients that you miss out on from other foods.
How do I find out my macros?
When you become a Transcend Fitness member, we calculate your personal macro breakdown. As you progress toward your goal we reevaluate and adjust your macros as needed.
This is not a diet. We promote a healthy lifestyle. The word diet has a flaw in that it implies there is a point where it ends. The lifestyle we promote never ends. We promote longevity and our nutrition plan translates to real life. You can still enjoy your social life and continue to stay on track rather than the typical binging that follows when individuals follow a "diet plan."
